FAQ

Q: Can the software DataGorri be used free of charge?
A: Yes, it can, however we require to be cited. See the license for details.

Q: I installed DataGorri but I cannot find the installed program. Where did I install it?
A: DataGorri is installed to “C:\Program Files (x86)\DataGorri” by default.

Q: I get the error (“0xc00007b” or similar) when installing or running DataGorri. What can I do?
A: DataGorri requires a file contained in Microsoft’s Visual C++ Redistributable Package. It’s not uncommon for this to already be installed on computers. However, it is not part of a standard Windows installation. You can download it directly from Microsoft (e.g. here).

Q: I cannot find the folder that should have been created on the desktop.
A: In some systems several “Desktops” exist, particularly in systems with managed (corporate) PCs. In these cases, the folder might have been created on the one that is not shown on the homescreen. You can find it by browsing directly to “C:\Users\[Username]\Desktop\DataGorri_Output”. We recommend to create a shortcut to this folder and save it to an easily accessible place.

Q: I cannot scroll down. What can I do?
A: Unfortunately, as of now, it is not possible to use the mouse wheel to scroll up or down. Please use the scrollbar on the right.

Q: At the end of a crawling request the data is not (entirely) written to a .CSV file. What is wrong?
A: This can have various reasons:

  • Please make sure that there is no .CSV file open, which has the same name as the one you want to save.
  • If that is not the case, there might be an error with unknown characters in the data you are trying to download. Please contact us with the particular problem.
